John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
I am not perfect, I have my flaws.
A human with weaknesses.
I tend to judge myself too harshly.
I long to attain that height of perfection.
Perfection is not what you desire.
A contrite heart matters more.
A willing soul, ready to make amends,
are more acceptable to you, than perfection.
I am willing to be chastised and corrected.
I will no longer feel superior to others.
Only please don't cast me away.
I have none besides thee.
In my anguish, I called upon you.
You heard my cry and had mercy on me.
You took me back into your arms,
and gave me another chance.
